We have worked in and around the energy sector for 20+ years and implemented smart solutions for energy management and energy trading. Our experience showed us that data driven solutions coupled with “out of the box” thinking brings cost savings. We understand the energy markets and they are driven by supply & demand with lots of external factors affecting the price, this volatility creates opportunities.
My personal experience of having a solar & battery installation at home drove me to development of the energy optimisation service as i found there was nothing to pull together all of the elements needed to provide maximum efficiency and the best return on my investment.
We put together the building blocks of the home solution with a smart meter, smart 1/2 hourly tariff, smart inverter and smart batteries and found that together it was more of a “scruffy” solution than a “smart” one as the building blocks performed well on their own, but there was no cohesion between them and nothing to unify the solution.
We pulled together the component parts and figured out how to integrate & manage them and put a wrapper service so it can be scaled up to provide the same management and savings for others. – Martin Bucknell CEO
